A few specific technical requirements are needed to properly view, and use, the Services Procurement Automation application. Please take a few moments to review what is required in order to maximize your experience.
What kind of browser should I use?
The Covendis SPA application currently supports Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.0 and Netscape 4.0x - 4.7x, 7.0. If you do not have one of these, please contact your technical support representative to help you in upgrading your browser.
Which operating system do I need?
You should use Windows 98, NT, 2000, or XP.
How can I tell when my connection is secure?
All areas in Covendis SPA are secure. The security of your connection can be verified throughout our websites by noticing the (s) in https:// in your browser address box or by noting the padlock icon at the bottom of your browser.
What is JavaScript? Does my browser have JavaScript?
JavaScript is a script-based programming language that is used to write programs that are executed by a browser. JavaScript capabilities are incorporated into all major Web browsers. The browsers must have JavaScript fully enabled in order to use Covendis SPA services.

What are Cookies? Can I turn them off?
Cookies are a means of communication between our Web servers and your computer. As you navigate our website, various cookies may be placed on your hard drive or in your browser’s memory. Allowing our Web site to create a cookie does not give us or any other site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it. We require that you choose to accept all cookies in your browser preferences, as this will allow you to securely access our applications. What about my privacy settings?
Starting in Internet Explorer 6, new cookie settings were introduced. These settings lie under the "Privacy" tab in the Internet Options Control Panel. We recommend using the default settings for privacy. Our site requires the acceptance of both first and third party cookies. If the symbol pictured on the right is displayed in the status bar of your browser while using our site, then your privacy settings are not set at the default level. We cannot guarantee proper navigation of our site unless you accept our cookies. For more information on cookies, read the above section entitled, "What are Cookies? Can I turn them off?"
What are Crystal Reports and ActiveX?
The Covendis SPA application utilizes Crystal Reports 8.0 as the standard reporting tool. In order to view your reports, the first time you use the application you will need to download an ActiveX viewer.
How do I get the ActiveX viewer?
The first time you use the Covendis SPA application you will be prompted to download an ActiveX viewer. When asked if you want to download and install the plug-in, click yes. Just follow the instructions and you are ready to go!
